We Were Featured In the National News!

Hey Tapeher family,

We have some incredible news to share – we were recently featured in the national news with The Toronto Star newspaper!

The article highlights our journey from sleep-deprived parents to the founders of Tapeher and Tapehim, the revolutionary mouth tapes that have transformed our sleep and our lives. As parents of four energetic boys, we were constantly running on empty. We tried every sleep aid imaginable – from supplements to cooling mattresses – but nothing seemed to work.

Our breaking point led us to mouth taping, a solution we were initially skeptical about. However, after giving it a try, the benefits were undeniable. Mouth taping encourages nasal breathing, which promotes deeper, more restorative sleep. We finally started waking up feeling refreshed and energized.

But there was a problem – the tapes on the market were uncomfortable and irritating. That's when Brodie took matters into her own hands and designed Tapeher and Tapehim. After extensive trial and error, we perfected the design: comfortable, hypoallergenic, and durable mouth tapes that stay on all night.

“If you wake up during the night, it might be because you’re using your mouth to breathe instead of your nose."

How Mouth Taping Changed Our Lives

The Toronto Star article shares our journey in detail, emphasizing the life-changing impact of mouth taping and how Tapeher and Tapehim were born out of necessity. It’s amazing to see our story being recognized and shared with a wider audience.

Before discovering mouth taping, our sleep quality was abysmal. We felt like we had tried everything under the sun to get a good night's sleep. It wasn’t until we discovered the benefits of nasal breathing through mouth taping that things began to change. Our restorative sleep dramatically improved, and with it, our energy levels, mood, and overall well-being.

“When we open our mouths and tip back our heads as if to lie down and sleep, our tongues fall back toward our throats. That not only restricts airflow — making it harder to take in oxygen — it also dries out the inside of our mouths, giving us pasty morning breath.”

Why Tapeher and Tapehim Are Different

We noticed that the existing mouth tapes were uncomfortable, irritating, and simply not effective. This drove Brodie to create a better solution. Tapeher and Tapehim are designed with sensitive skin in mind, ensuring comfort and effectiveness. The hypoallergenic material and ergonomic design make it easy to wear all night, without irritation or the tape falling off.

“Gwyneth Paltrow and Ashley Graham are reportedly devotees.”
