Even Tyler Cameron Is Taping Up This DWTS Season

Tyler Cameron is having a big year. Between filming Dancing with the Stars and keeping up with everything else on his plate, he’s one of the busiest people on television right now, which makes it even more interesting that he’s still finding time for one simple nightly habit: mouth taping.
Back in March 2025, Tapeher was proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Run for the Roses 5K in Jupiter, Florida, a charity event benefiting the Andrea C. Cameron Foundation, named in honor of Tyler’s late mother. The foundation provides full-tuition scholarships and mentorship to students starting as early as 9th grade.
More recently, while deep into DWTS rehearsals and filming, Tyler posted an Instagram story wearing Tapehim mouth tape and nose strips before bed. Naturally, we couldn’t resist a little reaction of our own.
Why Mouth Taping Makes Sense During a Season Like This
If there’s ever a stretch of life where recovery matters more than usual, it’s mid-season on a live dance competition. Rehearsals, choreography, performances, press, travel, it’s a lot to ask of any body, night after night, for months. The dancers and celebrities on DWTS are training like athletes, and like any athlete, how well they sleep directly affects how well they perform.
That’s where nasal breathing comes in. Mouth taping encourages you to breathe through your nose instead of your mouth while you sleep, which sounds like a small shift, but it changes a lot about the quality of your rest.
Some of what that shift actually does:
Deeper, more restorative sleep. Nasal breathing helps your body settle into a calmer, more efficient state overnight, so you spend more time in the sleep stages responsible for real recovery, not just time spent unconscious.
More energy the next day. Better sleep quality translates directly into waking up clearer and sharper instead of groggy, which matters a lot when your schedule doesn’t leave room for an off day.
Less snoring and dry mouth. Proper nasal airflow minimizes the disruptions that come with breathing through your mouth, so you’re not waking yourself (or anyone else) up.
Support for recovery and overall wellness. Consistent, high-quality sleep plays into everything from hormonal balance to how your body handles physical and mental stress, which is exactly what a season like DWTS demands.
It’s easy to see why someone training and performing at that level would want every advantage they can get, and sleep is one of the few recovery tools that costs nothing extra to prioritize.
A Small Habit for a Demanding Schedule
Whether you’re rehearsing a cha-cha under studio lights or just trying to survive a packed week at work, the principle is the same: your body needs real recovery to keep performing, and that starts with how you sleep.
That’s exactly why Tapeher was built the way it is, low-coverage, hypoallergenic mouth tape and nose strips (for both Tapeher and Tapehim) designed to fit into real life without adding another complicated step to your routine.
We’ll be cheering Tyler on for the rest of this DWTS season, and hoping he keeps sleeping as well as he dances.
